The 11” Surface Freak was built with one goal in mind: drawing violent topwater strikes from giant striped bass.

At 11 inches long, this oversized plastic spook-style lure mimics the large forage stripers key in on most — bunker, herring, shad, and other full-bodied baitfish. The Freak delivers a wide “walk-the-dog” action with a long left-to-right glide that pushes serious water and commands attention from predators hunting big meals.

But the Surface Freak is more than just profile and action — it’s built around a completely unique hooking system known as the K-Rig.

The K-Rig utilizes a tethered hook system designed specifically for how large striped bass actually feed. Big bass commonly attack head first, and the tether system allows the hooks to separate from the body during the fight while keeping fish pinned securely. The result is cleaner corner-of-the-jaw hookups, fewer lost giants, and virtually zero leverage for fish to throw the lure.
